No other program offers Insights from Sector Leaders, a community of like-minded peers and personalized one-on-one coaching. Designed for Non-Profit Executive Directors and Chief Executive Officers like you, this program will question/challenge your thinking about how to lead so you can reconnect with who you are and redefine success in a new post-pandemic environment. But even more exciting is that this program also offers an Executive Coach to partner with you through your leadership journey, to help you excel personally and professionally.

Course Outline and Schedule 

September 23, 2021: Leadership as a Journey

Executives will explore the strengths that make them effective leaders and to identify areas of growth that will help them succeed even more. The journey starts with self-awareness and self-reflection. An understanding of where a leader is on the journey can propel them to new heights and insights.

 

September 30, 2021: Vision, Goals & Values

In this module, participants will identify their personal and organizational values, goals and how they align with their own life vision to re-ignite their passion as leaders of the organization. Awareness of their own self-image, strengths and opportunities will also be explored.

October 14, 2021: Change and Building Resiliency

If change really is the only constant in life, how are we equipped to handle changes and challenges in our life? This module will explore various tools and techniques to support us through change, to help build our resilience and prepare us for any stress and challenges we may face.

October 21, 2021: The 8 Dimensions of Organizational Culture

This module explores the 8 dimensions every organization must measure to create an engaged and effective workplace culture. Participants will learn how about factors that create toxic environments and how to better align their organizational culture to the strategy/mission/vision, enabling their teams to deliver results and thrive.

November 4, 2021: Effective Coaching Techniques

This is the first in a three part module designed to examine the best practices in coaching. Participants will explore how to bring out the best in staff and how to support staff's ability to problem solve and navigate issues from a place of empowerment; creating a superb, engaged workforce.

November 18, 2021: Effective Coaching Techniques Part II

In the second part of this module, participants will learn about various coaching models, and will experience a live coaching demonstration followed by an opportunity for participants to practice coaching each other.

November 25, 2021: Having Honest, Tough Conversations

This module concentrates on the application and tools of effective coaching through a guided discussion on real world applications for having tough conversations with staff, Board members and other Partners.

December 9: Personal Evolution and Organizational Elevation

Participants will reflect on the key learning of the modules and coaching sessions to create a personal effectiveness plan and a resource toolkit to support them on their leadership journey.

*Each module will be held through the zoom online platform.from 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m on the above dates. The lead facilitator and Executive Coach for each module is Ranita Charania.

Investment: $7,500  ($2,500 for Non-Profit Executives through the Canada - Alberta Job Grant.  Full details available on the Canada - Alberta Job website).

How Do The Leadership Programs Work?

  • Structured Learning: 8 classes (28 hours) of instruction on leadership topics most relevant for non-profit leaders
  • Coaching: 4 individual Executive Coaching sessions with an experienced and Certified Professional Coach to delve deep into specific areas of personal and organizational growth

  • Community: A cohort of other Executives and Leaders to help support you on this leadership journey
; a private online community with access to resources and collective wisdom of the group

  • A professional certificate of accomplishment to recognize the growth, learning and transformation you will achieve in this program (can be used towards grant applications)
