Back-to-School With Confidence Age 7-12

Session Description

A new school year can bring excitement, but it can also bring worries about new teachers, unfamiliar routines, friendships, fitting in, and knowing what to do when something feels difficult. Back-to-School With Confidence is a practical, interactive workshop designed to help children begin the school year feeling more prepared, capable, and confident. Through discussion, activities, role-play, and simple planning tools, children will learn how to manage common back-to-school worries and respond to new situations with greater confidence. They will practise strategies they can use from the very first day of school. During the workshop, children will learn how to: *understand and manage back-to-school worries *respond to “what if” thoughts with practical strategies *adjust to new routines, expectations, and changes *start conversations and make social connections *ask teachers or classmates for help using confident words *set realistic goals for the first week of school *create a personal plan for handling common school situations Children will leave with a clearer idea of what they can control, practical language they can use when they need support, and a personal first-week confidence plan.
