Calm, Confident & Ready Ages 4-5

Session Description

Does your child sometimes become overwhelmed by big feelings, struggle with transitions or need support communicating what they need? Calm, Confident & Ready is a playful six-week program that helps young children develop emotional regulation, confidence, social skills and growing independence—with a parent or caregiver learning alongside them. Through stories, movement, games and creative activities, children will practise important skills for home, friendships and school. Children will learn how to: *Recognize and name their feelings *Notice how emotions feel in their bodies *Use simple tools to calm their minds and bodies *Manage frustration, mistakes and difficult moments *Handle transitions and changes in routine *Communicate their needs and interact positively with others *Take small steps toward confidence and independence The Six-Week Journey Week 1: My Feelings Have Names Recognizing emotions and noticing body signals. Week 2: Calm Bodies, Helpful Tools Practising breathing, movement and calming strategies. Week 3: I Can Try Managing frustration, mistakes and challenging tasks. Week 4: Ready for Change Building confidence with transitions, routines and separation. Week 5: Friends, Feelings & My Voice Practising sharing, joining in, expressing needs and respectful boundaries. Week 6: I’m Growing and Ready Celebrating progress, independence and one personal brave step. Parents and caregivers will participate in each session, practise the tools with their child and receive simple strategies and language to continue using at home.
