🌟 Big Hearts, Brave Boundaries for Ages 6-10 Winter Session Begins January 11 at 11:00 a.m. · 3 Weeks · Small Group As children enter elementary school, friendships become more important — and more complicated. Kids this age begin navigating shifting social dynamics: feeling left out, friends choosing other friends, unkind comments, bossy or controlling behaviours, peer pressure, hurt feelings, and the natural “forming and storming” phases as groups learn to work and play together. Friendships also change as children’s interests evolve and as they become more aware of fairness, justice, and belonging. These experiences can feel confusing and overwhelming for kids who are still developing emotional regulation, confidence in using their voice, an understanding of personal boundaries, empathy, and What Your Child Will Learn ✔ What makes a healthy friendship ✔ What to do when friendships feel hard ✔ How to set brave, respectful boundaries ✔ How to use assertive communication ✔ How to listen to their own needs and comfort levels ✔ How to repair relationships ✔ How to stand their ground while staying kind The perfect balance of empathy + confidence. 🌈 Program Outline WEEK 1 — Healthy vs. Unhealthy Friendships Kids learn what good friendships look like, how to identify red flags, and what they personally need in a friendship. WEEK 2 — My Boundaries, My Voice Kids dive into physical, emotional, and social boundaries, how to set them, and how to respect others’ boundaries. WEEK 3 — Brave Conversations & Problem Solving Kids learn how to handle conflicts, speak up kindly and confidently, and repair friendships when challenges arise.
